• Normal wear is expected – Even with careful use, jewellery may develop light scratches over time. This is a natural result of daily wear.
• Remove during activities – Always take off jewellery before cleaning, gardening, exercising, or playing sports to prevent accidental damage.
• Never wear jewellery while swimming – Chlorine in swimming pools and chemicals in spas can weaken metals and cause gold jewellery to erode.
• Rings may change shape – As metal is naturally soft, rings (especially those with thinner bands) can gradually lose their round shape with regular wear, gripping or accidental knocks. This is normal and part of the natural life of a ring.

To help your AARVO jewellery maintain its shine and beauty, we recommend the following care tips:

• Store correctly – Keep your jewellery in a soft-lined box or pouch with the anti-tarnish strip provided (a small black square included in your box). Where possible, store pieces separately to avoid scratching or rubbing.
• Regular cleaning – Jewellery naturally ages and may tarnish over time. To keep it looking pristine, clean your pieces regularly with a professional jewellery cleaner or the polishing cloth provided. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions when using cleaning products.
• Why tarnish occurs – Tarnishing is caused by oxidisation, which happens when silver, gold, or plated jewellery reacts with elements such as oxygen, sulphur, or even natural acids in the skin. This process is normal and may also occur when jewellery is left unworn for long periods.
